Chris Keith – It was February 1986, my rookie year and the biggest storm I had ever seen at that point. Biggest avalanche too. When Jeff Boucher saw my camera he told me to follow him, then later sent me out on a photo shoot to document the aftermath of the storm. Turned out to be one of the most memorable days of my patrol career. (photos by Chris Keith)

Luke Schwartzkopf – Yep…Wipe Outs. (Class V on 1/6/88) We were at the top of Wipe II near a permanent snow fence when it broke under our feet..It was pretty rad. As it started to move it sounded like a shipping container being pulled across pavement. We had to jump. Mike grabbed onto the shovel on my back and we landed on the dirt below the crown face..dang..I will never forget that moment. I think Jeb was the only eye witness who saw it “puzzle up” after the shot. Whew!!!
